If you haven't submitted to this issue yet, please send us your poems! Our annual deadline is July 15, when we’ll stop taking submissions for Issue 16 (Dec. 2024) and start collecting poems for Issue 17 (Dec. 2025). If you haven’t sent us poems for the next issue yet, now is your chance! Our grad student editors are busy reading and we still have about 60% of the issue to fill.
Issue 16 is shaping up to be another great collection. We have already accepted poems by Peter Grandbois, Terry Ann Thaxton, Ellen June Wright, George Freek, and Ace Boggess, as well as a good number of poets who are new to our pages. And we are excitedly reading submissions, looking for those poems that will round out our issue or that surprise us and take the issue in a new direction.
By the way, when you submit, or even if you decide not to send us poems this year, you can always renew your subscription to Poetry South so you will be one of the first to get the brand-new issue when it comes out in December!
